Profit Masters

Hello Fellow Profit Masters…  Randy here…

I just realized that I’ve been writing this blog, Profit Masters, for more than 2 years now, since early 2007.  Before that I’ve had a few Blogs that are still in business.  Profit Masters is the one I enjoy working on the most.  I realized that I haven’t given the readership any information about me.

So I guess that it’s time for a more complete biography of myself.  I should probably do this as a Page instead of a Post, but, what the heck!, I’m in the mood to do it this way.

I describe myself on Facebook as “A semi-retired IT guy”.  At the time I wrote that I was exactly that, semi-retired.  I also describe myself as an eclectic eccentric, or an eccentric eclectic, depending on your point of view.  I love to perform as Santa Claus and I operate a forum for Real Bearded Santa’s and Holiday performers.

I live in the Metro Atlanta Area.  I’ve been here for 30 years.  Before that I was a native of North Alabama.  The Muscle Shoals Area to be more exact.

I am a retired US Army Warrant Officer (CW3).  I retired in 1989 from the US Army Reserves.  I was on active duty from January 1967 to August 1979.  I’m a Vietnam Era Vet. That’s me in a jeep in 1968.  I was a Spec 4 at the time.

I’ve been in the Electronics and Information Systems fields since 1967.  I’ve worked for a number of firms since leaving active duty in the roles of District Manager, Regional Manager, Director of Information Services, Director of Hardware Services, and I’ve operated my own business called ITMSERVNET, LLC., which did IT consultation.  While I was consulting I also taught Project Management certification courses (I have a Project Management certification) for a major Atlanta Training Center.  I also contracted with them for Business Development services and administration.

I love to learn and it doesn’t matter on what subject.  I also love to teach and share.  My wife, Sherri, claims that the only channels I would miss if we lost our satellite feed would be the History Channels.  She’s probably right, although I would miss Adult Swim and BBC America.  I can get all the PBS I want from the antenna.

This didn’t turn out to be a full blown bio folks,  I just hit a few high points.  At least now you know a little about the old guy that writes this blog.
