Hello
Fellow Profit Masters… Randy here… Now this is the second installment of this series, How Money is Made by Blogging, and after some thought I’ve decided to be as fair as possible when it comes to web hosting services.
Now I use 1&1 Hosting. They’re a great solution and they fit my needs. Your needs may differ. Therefore I thought that I would put up an alternative. Hostgator is a Texas company that provides relatively inexpensive hosting and domain name registration. It’s a very popular solution. It uses cPanel for administration. It’s pricing is competitive.
Please remember the point I tried to make in the last post. Making any money on the internet requires branding. Especially if you intend to use a blog to generate income. Your brand should be unique to you. So should your domain name.![]()
Once you’ve found and address and space on the web, you need to think about content and a vehicle to deliver that content. Since this is a post about making money blogging the next thing to touch on is putting up your blog.
Blog installation and management, especially with Wordpress, is not difficult. In fact it can be darned easy. You don’t need to be some kind of internet nerd to run a blog with Wordpress. Just follow their comprehensive instructions. There are plenty of Wordpress plugins that you can use to manage and monetize your blog. Do your research. See which ones fit you the best.
You do need to host your blog yourself. That’s why I’m spending so much time talking about hosting upfront. Remember that branding is one of the Big 5 steps to successful marketing on the internet.
Once you have established your brand then you can take steps to put it out in front of the buying community.
Have a GREAT DAY!
Randy
