TweetGlide is Here!

Hello Fellow Profit Masters… Randy here..

If you haven’t been awake for the last 24 hours you probably know that there’s a new Twitter App on the net. It’s TweetGlide and it’s going to take over Twitterdom.

So what’s so great about TweetGlide? Well for starters you can tweet over the 140 word limit. TweetGlide allows you to create messages much longer than 140 characters – in fact, as long as you would like. Once you hit the "submit" button, here’s what happens…randybandBW

TweetGlide will post the first 80 (or so) characters to Twitter, followed by a short message: [To read the rest of this post click here: http://example.com/AdnG

When the link is clicked they can read the rest of your post on the TweetGlide Blog! Now this becomes another avenue for posting your content, and be able to share it with your Twitter Followers without having to post multiple tweets on Twitter! Your blog is also customizable and only contains YOUR tweets!

In TweetGlide you create what they call “Glides”. These are columns you can turn on or off where you will see posts from all of your "friends" or followers. There is a glide for “Sponsored Tweets”, @Mentions (where you can see who mentions you or your tweets), and there’s one for “Direct Messages”. You can figure that one out.

There are more great features in the “Profile Area”. TweetGlide has great flexibility with some advanced features in your Profile area. You can see all of your followers, bulk follow them or bulk unfollow and block other users, select how often your Glides update, enter your Facebook information, and etc.

It even includes a URL shortener with multiple services available. So you can track your tweets and clicks.

I haven’t even touched the income producing component of TweetGlide yet. You can “Tweet for Traffic”, build a powerful downline matrix, and even advertise your products and services in their ad network. Since the ads run right inside the application, users have the option to view or shut off the ads. This ensures 100% spam free advertising.

There is so much more than I’ve been able to discover at this point in time. Get on over to TweetGlide and take a look for yourself. If you use Twitter to generate income then this is the App you need.

Video Marketing with LinkedTube™

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009
Hello Fellow Profit Masters… Randy here…

Here’s a great way to get out your message. This video ad was created using LinkedTube™. LinkedTube™ allows you to easily use the power of YouTube™ to get your message out.

In this case I “borrowed” a great video from DJ Steve Porter. If you want to create your own video presentations, that works too. All you have to do is upload it to YouTube™ and pull it into LinkedTube™!

Create video product listings, advertisements and more… link to anywhere including PayPal, Skype or even the iTunes store. The link is in the button. Hover your cursor over mine and you’ll see more information available to you. You can put anything you want there.
It’s a great tool!!

LinkedTube

LinkedTube™ is a Flash widget that adds link and sharing options to YouTube videos. With this you can transform any YouTube video into a useful viral promotion tool. Unlike standard YouTube players it links directly back to your URL, for example you can create video product listings linking direct to your shopping cart, music video links to the iTunes store or just link back to your website or blog. Plus, when others share your video they all link back to your own URL.

When you’re done filling out the form on their website to create your links, just click the up arrow in the lower right corner of the video frame to get your Flash widget or the link to the video on LinkedTube’s website. Try it by clicking on the up arrow above and you’ll see my info. Your URL is attached to the button in the upper right corner. Hover over it to see more info you can put in the form. If you click it, you’ll get taken to the URL you put in the form. Click my button and see where it takes you.

I think you’ll love this approach to marketing your wares, and best of all, IT’S FREE!!!

Don’t worry, it’s truly a free service with no strings attached and no OTO’s.

How Money is Made by Blogging

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

Hello Fellow Profit Masters… Randy here… This is an initial posting of a series so stay tuned.

I’m going to do a little blatant advertising here. Please excuse me. It’s just that the best way to operate a blog for profit is by hosting it in your own web space. I know, there are lots of places that will “host” your blog for you. But… You have to use their domain name!

On the cheap side this may not seem like a bad idea. But from a branding prospective it sucks. If you want to be known for your content you need a place to display it that’s all YOUR own! This is the first step in Blogging 101. Get your own domain name!

Now I use 1&1 for my hosting needs. You see their banner below.1n1234x60_01 They do just about any kind of hosting there is. Here are some reasons to try 1&1.

  1. Best prices!
With 1&1‘s all inclusive pricing, you always know exactly what you are going to pay, and you will always find the best price. They don‘t waste money on high overhead costs or on tasteless commercials.
  2. No catch!
They treat you fairly: The price they advertise is the price you pay for a domain registration. There are no setup fees or additional costs- ever.
  3. Maximum flexibility!
Use your 1&1 domain with a 1&1 web hosting plan or use it with a different web host. You can use your domain to set up an e-mail account for your website, or you can reserve your domain now and get started on the web later, when you‘re ready. It’s up to you.
  4. FREE Private Domain Registration
Protect your contact information from spammers! Your privacy is important. That’s why, unlike other domain companies, they offer Private Domain Registration free of charge.
  5. No transfer fees! Already have a domain? 1&1 does not charge transfer costs, and you can save immediately with the industry’s best prices. If you want to save more, upgrade your domain to a web hosting plan and take advantage of their great prices.

I’ve had nothing but great service from 1&1. On the odd occasion that I thought I had a problem, I contacted their Support Staff and they gave me immediate information that remediated my perceived problem. They’re GREAT!

The bottom line in Blogging for Profit is to have total control over your brand. That means getting your own domain name and web space. Even if you’ve never played with site building before, you’ll find that with your own internet real estate, WordPress, and a decent blog theme you can generate income. How much depends on your marketing efforts. At least this is a place to start.

As a blogger, I like the BlogWarrior app. The KeywordWarrior app has been really useful. I’m still playing with the DirectoryWarrior and the ForumWarrior. They are all easy to learn and easy to use. The AffiliateWarrior is a need to have to keep your affiliate URLs safe and secure. They all come with great documentation.

Click here to get these Warrior Tools for FREE! or click on any of the pictures above for instant access. You can read the whole page or just swoop down to the Free Instant Access at the bottom of the page.

I’d take the time to read the page.

Here’s a testimonial

Man this is a great tool! I’ve always been trying to create professional "cloaked" affiliate links and almost every other software out there costs an arm and leg.

With Affiliate Warrior I can do exactly what all the other top affiliates are doing, and I’ve already seen my commissions double in the past week!

Starting a Paid Membership Site

Monday, November 17th, 2008

Hi Fellow Profit Masters… Randy here…

We’ve discussed starting a free membership site and how to get the tools we need to start one. Now we’ll talk about paid membership sites. This is where your skills as a marketer comes into play. No matter whether you’re an old timer or a newbie, you can start to generate a regular monthly income using a paid membership site. It’s easier than you think. Read on…..

Whatever you call them – member only, membership, subscription, or mentor websites, they all have one thing in common. They are bringing in steady and constant cash flow for their owners, month after month, from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars. The array of the topics of these websites is endless.

PremiumCompounder.com.
Easy. Safe. No risk.

Some of these paid membership sites provide mentoring or coaching, others publish useful articles or information in a particular field or product. Still others publish the results of tests and studies or product reviews. Some membership sites provide specialized service or act as a meeting place for people with a common interest and then there are those that provide step-by-step instructions for such things as painting or music.

Suggested Membership Site Themes

Monday, October 6th, 2008

Hi Fellow Profit Masters… Randy here…

So now you know what membership sites are and their different models, if you’ve been following this series. If you haven’t, then shame on you! You can easily find the previous posts and catch up. Here is our fifth posting in this series of articles. Email an interested buddy and share this series with them.

When you are deciding on the theme for your membership site, it is best if you can choose a theme that concerns something you are really interested in…even passionate about. Remember that you will be spending a lot of time keeping your membership informed, keeping your website interesting and keeping relevant and timely content on your website and in your ezine that you send out regularly.

If you choose to start a membership site about…say….dogs. Just dogs in general won’t attract many members. You will need to choose a specific breed….and possibly even narrow it down further. Instead of Poodles, your theme should be; Tiny Toy Poodles, Miniature Poodles, or Standard Poodles, for example. Millions of people are dog lovers and the theme of a specific breed of dog should do well.

If you are really into video or computer games, start a membership site devoted to one specific game… not just video games or computer games in general. People all over the world and from every walk of life get really involved with a specific video or computer game and love to talk to others about the game and give each other hints.

There are thousands…maybe millions…of people who love certain crafts and hobbies. However, those who love to quilt aren’t interested in wood working so your membership site should be about a specific craft or hobby.

Professionals like to talk to other professionals in the same field. Each professional field speaks their own language and find the same things to be interesting, informative or funny. So if you start a membership site for professionals, you should get a good response.

A membership website with the theme, ‘Resell Rights’, should do well, also. This kind of site will need to be kept updated on a regular basis.

Stay tuned for Article #6 “Starting a Free Membership Site”

PLR Content: A Business to Business Service Provider’s Best Friend

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

Hi Fellow Profit Masters… Randy here

As a service provider to other businesses, you know all too well that in order to succeed you must set yourself apart from your competitors. One of the secrets to good business is to provide your customers with valuable information. A great way to do this is with quality, informative content in your marketing materials, including your website.

Potential customers come to your website looking for not only information about your services and rates, but also about you and the way you conduct business. Many service providers simply provide a service, perform the service and then receive payment. By providing your clients with bonus information, you set yourself apart from your competitors. When you give your clients more information than they are used to seeing, you also open the door for them to pass the word on about your business, which can lead to more money in your pocket.

You may be wondering, other than your services, just exactly what you can offer your clients in the form of content. Here are just a few examples to get the wheels turning. Dare to be brave and think of other unique ideas as well.

- Create a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section on your website.
Use questions you have received in the past from your clients to compile this list or even use commonly asked questions that others in your line of business receive.

- Start a Newsletter or Email List
Create a monthly or weekly newsletter for your clients. You can utilize articles to give them information about their business market, things they might be interested to know that pertain to the services you offer, etc. You can also use the list to inform them of new services you add, special “list only” offers, and reviews of products they can use in their business.

- Compile a Freebie Just for Them
Create an eBook or special report that you can give away as a free gift whenever someone signs up for you list or hires you to complete a project.

Recommended:

Ready to boost your business above the competition, but don’t have time to focus on your client’s work AND write all that content? Try using PLR content. At All Marketing Content, you’ll receive 50 pieces of fresh, quality marketing content each and every month.

Google Chrome – Pros & Cons

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

Hi Folks… Randy here..

I just downloaded the beta of “Google Chrome”. I’ve been playing with it for a while and I like it a LOT! It has many strong points that fix problems that I’ve found in the Firefox browser from Mozilla. Some of these being the incompatibility with certain secure site that “required” the IE browser to work properly or at all. It does seem to display web page graphics like Firefox. This is a little disconcerting to me, since I try to write my own views. Since the IE browser is still the gold standard (although this may change with Google Chrome) I set my graphic placements so they’ll look the way I want them using IE. Firefox, and now Google Chrome, tend to offset my vertical spacing just enough to make my logos and headers slightly off vertically in relation to IE. This isn’t a major problem. I can adjust the layouts to produce consistant views.

What I do like is the bookmark bar at the top. I also like the fact that when you open a new tab, you get to pick from web sites you visit frequently, tabs you closed recently, web sites you’ve saved for some reason, and your favorite search engines. I don’t know about you, but there are certain sites I visit daily. This keeps me from searching my bookmarks each time I want to open a new site. I know, I’m lazy. But what the heck. Why reinvent the wheel?

Let’s talk about tabs. I can reorder my tabs! To change the order of the tabs displayed, simply click the tab you wish to relocate and drag it to its new location. How sweet is that. I don’t know how many times I wished I could move my IE tabs. Now how about this…You can move tabs to either a brand new tab or another open window.

  1. To move a tab into a new window, simply click and drag the desired tab out of the browser window. If successful, you see a thumbnail of the tab that you are moving.
  2. To move it to a different window, drag the tab from its original window to the top tab bar in its destination window. The tab should pop in automatically.

I got the last blurb right from Google Chromes Help Center, which I have found to be MOST useful!

Now let’s talk about the Address Bar. I doubles as a search box. Google Chrome also remembers sites you’ve visited before and makes suggestions. How cool is that! Well, OK, maybe not so cool since we’ve gotten used to search bars, etc. It is a neat feature. So is the ability to stop a web site from loading. Because Google Chrome is so speedy, another great feature, all you have to do is to click the “X” at the end of the bar. Usually this is a “right arrow” icon but when a page starts loading it turns into the “X”. Just click on it and the browser stops loading that site. Creating book marks is as simple as clicking the “star” icon just to the left of the site address. Easy as pie.

If your web site is misbehaving, you can whip out the Task Manager (Ctrl+Esc is the keyboard shortcut) and close down that tab without having to kill the browser. The Task Manager will also give you usage stats on the pages or tabs you have open. The “stats for nerds” link in the bottom left hand corner will even show you memory usage of other browsers you might have open. I like that.

There are tons of other goodies in this browser. I know I titled this post “Google Chrome – Pros & Cons” but all in all I’d have to say that there are more “Pros” than “Cons“. My advice is to wander on over to http://www.google.com/chrome and grab the download. Try it for yourself. Maybe we’ll talk about the Developer and Webmaster goodies later.
